A Damn Good Burger. One problem. It's almost impossible to get in. I went there with my cousins. We had a lot of stuff including the Prime Rib (not that great). The Burger was great. I could have done without the Prime Rib, which I normally Love. We should have skipped th Prime Rib and ate two and a half Burgers each.
Anyway, the Burger is one of the Best in New York, but since not that many people can get to eat them, it brings the place down a bit. Cie la Vie.
SHAKE SHACK BURGER # 3
"MANY SAY IT'S THE BEST"
We Wouldn't Disagree, But You Gotta Pick Some Kind
of Order .. Everyone Has Their Own Choices, and These Are Ours
New York's Best Burgers, in no particular order. We Love them all, Wow! Who are they? Who right? Who's Not? Yes, it's not easy, and who's to say who is the best, who's not, and that they are thee authority and decider of who is # 1 and Who's Not? Well, there are any number of people, magazines, newspapers, and other intitties doing articles, stories and what-not on the Best Burger or Best Burgers in town and around the country. It's a big and popular subject.
Well, this is just ours. Not seeing that his is the definative list and list to end all. It's just ours. And of these 5, we ourselves what put any number at the Top of The Heep, they're all great burgers.
Are you a True Downtowner who has found themselves for one reason or another has found themselves on the Upper East Side and needed a good place to have a drink and grab a good Burger. You need a good joint, not a obnoxious Sports Bar with 20 annoying Flat Screen TVs. You’re not from BumFu_k Iowa, so Applebee’s or Tj McFunsters just won’t do. You’re a Downtowner, you need a inexpensive, unpretentious, non-contrived place with a Cool Vibe. Well for years now, my Go-To all-around place on the Upper East Side (for the Rare Times I’m in that neighborhood) is without question PJ Clarke’s. The ambiance is beyond compare, wonderfully well worn, charming, and awash in History.
PJ Clarke’s was one of Sinatra’s Favorites along with the 21 Club, Jilly’s and Patsy’s on 56th Street. And speaking of Sinatra who recorded a wonderful version of “One For My Baby” which was written at PJ Clarke’s on a Cocktail Napkin by the great Johnny Mercer in 1941.
When I go to PJ Clarke’s, I’m thinking of a Burger, a Beer, and an order of Onion Rings. With all the rage of Burger’s these days, PJ Clarke’s has been serving one of New York’s tastiest Burgers for close to a Hundred Years. Even Jackie Kennedy loved PJ Clarke Burgers and ate them often. And Nat King Cole Proclaimed after eating a tasty Bacon Cheeseburger that it was the Cadillac of Burgers. “You know Nat, I agree.” And combined with the wonderful ambiance, History, and allure of the place, PJ Clarke’s just ca not be beat. Try it!

THE SKINNY On EACH
SCHNIPPERS
Schnippers is awesome. They came on the scene a couple years ago. They didn't make all that much of a splash in the first year or year 1/2, but now? They've Splashed, and in quite a big way. They just opened their 3rd location in Manhattan and seems like their expansion will lead to any number across the country, alla Shake Shack. Spaeaking of Shake Shack, Schnipper's opened their first place less than 200 feet from Shake Shacks hugely famous Flagship Burger Joint (and 1st) at Madison Park at 23rd Street and Madison Avenue.
Anyway, the Schnipper Burger is awesome. The Schnipper Burger is a classic straight forward burger. It's 5 ounces, fresh beef (never frozen), cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. We love it, and think it taste exactlt as a burger should, with an emphasis on the tasty beef patty.
JG MELON
JG Melon is one great old institution up on 3rd Avenue at 74th Steet on New York's Upper East Side. The Melon is a cool classic old school bar, the kind that just can't be duplicated. Great natural vibe, and un-contived. And guess what? they've got one of New York top burgers, if not thee # 1 tops .. Some say, they are the best. Their Burger, and we wouldn't give them a fight on that. We love em too, and almost picked them for the # 1 spot on our list. What do you think.
SHAKE SHACK
A Great Burger! Some say the Best. We did too for some time, but we feeel that Schnipper's has edged them out. Though we wouldn't gie anyone a hard time if they Shake Shack is # 1 ... They're Buger is Classic, just the right size, seasoned and cooked to beautiful tasty perfection.
We just Love Em.
PETER LUGER
The Luger Burger is awesome. It's quite tasty, and makes our top 5 list for it's tastieness and the fact that you can go into this Mecca of Steakdom and get a Burger for just 12 Bucks .. But you probably won't. You gonna want some cheese on that $1.50 and the Bacon ($4.25) is a "Must Have" at Lugers. If you go for Fries (Only $1.95), your burgers gonna cost you about $19.00
But hey, "It Peter Luger" and that's a bargain.
You can only get The Luger Burger at Lunch, and we just love hopping over the Williamsburg Bridge every 2 or 3 months to get one. You will too.
MINETTA TAVERN
You can't beat the ambiance and History of Minetta Tavern .. This Historical Old Greenwich Village Haunt is cool as can be. And you'll feel you are too once and if you secure a seat inside. The master of the restaurant business in New York, Keith McNally rescued this great old joint, spruced it up just a bit, retaining its wonderful origianl decor, placed a couple great chefs at the helm and opened her up to rave reviews. The menu is French Bistro Steak House, with big juicy Steaks, Bistro Classics, and a pair of New York's Hottest and most loved burgers; The Famed Black Label Burger ($24.00) and The Minetta Burger ($16.00) .. The Black Label Burger is by far the most famous of the two, made with the Black Label Blend of Dry Aged Beef from famed New York Butcher Pat La Freida .. Dry Aged Beef may be great for Steaks, such as the ones so famous at Peter Luger and Minetta Tavern, but we feel that this beef doesn't translate so well to Burgers ... We prefer the Minetta Burger. How bout you?
1 quart Vegetable Oil for Frying (Safflower or Corn Oil)
4 Brioche Buns
1 tablespoon Butter
16 Dill Pickle Slices
Hellman's Real Mayonnaise, or other brand you prefer
Using a large glass or ceramic mixing bowl. Pour in Buttermilk, and add the next 5 ingredients. Mix all together. Place chicken breast in the bowl, submerged in the buttermilk. Place in refrigerator for at least 3 hours, or let marinate overnight.
Place the flour, the cornstarch, Paprika, Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, and Cayenne Pepper in the bowl and mix thoroughly.
Place the vegetable oil in a medium sized pot. Turn heat up high, and heat oil to frying temperature of 350 degrees.
Remove a chicken breast from the buttermilk, letting excess buttermilk drain off. Add this to the four mixture, coating the breast completely. Remove from bowl and gently press the flour mixture into the breast. Put the breast on a plate and repeat with remaining chicken breasts.
Add the coated chicken, one-by-one to the hot oil. Cook chicken until it is golden brown and cooked through. Remove from oil and place all on paper towels to rest for a few minutes.
Note: You can check if the chicken is fully cooked through, by inserting a small sharp knife in each breast and looking inside to see if it is completely cooked. If it is not, and shows a little sign of rawness in the middle, put back in the hot oil for just 45 seconds or 1 minute, then remove.
Once the chicken breast are completely cooked and resting on the towels, season each breast by sprinkling just a little Salt and Black Pepper over each chicken breast
Melt butter in a small pan.
Toast both sides of each Brioche Bun.
Brush melted butter onto each side of the brioche buns.
To assemble sandwiches, spread a little Mayonnaise on the bottom buns. Place 4 pickles on each bun.
Place a chicken breast on top of each bottom bun, then cover each with the top bun and serve.
Note: If you want to make the Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich, place a 1/2 cup of Mayonnaise in a bowl, and add the desired amount of Hot Sauce that you would like to the Mayo, mix and add to sandwich.

Daniel is holding up a bag, that has a McRIB in it.
He says, "Look what I've got. It's a very Rare Item. It's the hottest thing out there. It's hotter than the latest iPad, the latest iPhone, the hottest concert tickets, Rolling Stones tickets, whatever?"
He then proceeds to pull a McDonalds McRib sandwich out of the bag, and says, "A Freaking McRib. I just found it."
He sits down to eat it. "Look at my McRib, I Love it." he blurts out.
He looks at it and sighs, "Oooh, I haven't had one in such a long time. My first bite."
He takes a bite, and starts chewing, then cries out in ecstasy, "UuummmmMMMM" !!!!
"The McRib, I Love it!"
"Just as good as ever!"
This is Proof that Author Daniel Bellino Zwicke was the first to do a Youtube Food Review eating Fast Food (a McRib) while wearing a SUIT & TIE.

"Not REVIEWBRAH"
Yes, way back in 2010, Best Selling Cookbook Author did a video review of his beloved McRib sandwich. Daniel hadn't had a McRib for some 14 years, and he dearly missed them, and couldn't wait to sink his teeth into a McRib again. The first time Daniel had a McRib, he said was way back in 1986, when he was the Chef at the former Corrado Restaurant in Midtown New York. There was a McDonald's a couple blocks away from Corrado's on 57th Street and Daniel used to pop in there every now and then, just to relax and take a little break. It was about this time that the McRib was out on one of its limited edition runs. Daniel was in the McDonald's on 57th Street one day, and he ordered a McRib for his lunch.
When Daniel bit into his McRib that day, it just blew his mind. Daniel was smitten, and kept going back almost everyday for a McRib Fix. He went everyday, until McDonald's pulled his beloved McRIb off the shelves once again.
Daniel loved those McRibs and thought of them all the time over the years. He ate his fair share of McRibs back in 86, but it would be a good number of years before he'd taste one once again. Yes my friends, it's a cruel cruel World, not being able to get a McRib Fix for years on end. So many years in fact, it was 24 years from Daniel's first McRib's in 1986, before he'd get the chance to eat them once again in the year 2010, a full 24 years without his beloved McRib, that Daniel just adored.
Well the year 2010 rolls around and Daniel hears that McDoanld's will be releasing the McRib once again, in New York and soon. Daniel was ecstatic to say the least. He'd been Jonesing for a McRIb for far too long, and his day was almost upon him. YEs, once again Daniel would be able to go to his local McDonald's, get a McRib or two, or 3, sit down and savor the McRib once again.
Daniel was working at an Italian Restaurant as a the restaurants Wine Director. There was a McDonald's just a half a block away, and the very day that the McRib came back, Daniel was one of the first on line to get one. Actually he got two. He took his two McRIbs, went back to the restaurant and asked one of his co-workers to shoot the video as he partook in the glorious moment, his first McRib in 24 torturous years.
So here's were some history was made, and Daniel had no idea what-so-ever. Daniel had on a Glen Plaid Suit, and was also wearing a white dress shirt and tie. He was in a white tablecloth fine dining restaurant, about to sink his teeth into a tasty McDonald's McRib Sandwich. Daniel did just that. He bit into the McRib and cried out glorious happiness, at the pure joy of eating that tasty McRib Sandwich. Daniel was a happy camper. He just loved it, and it made the man oh so happy. It was all quite moving, and history was just made.
So let's jump ahead a few years. This awesome someone, known as Review Brah starts doing fast food reviews, along with other related items, like Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Energy Drinks. And guess what, he's wearing suits and ties as he does his review. The Twiiter, Youtube, Social Media World goes nuts when they begin to discovering this guy who calls himself TheReportOfTheWeek, but people watching him, nick name him Review Brah, and the name sticks. Wow, no one has ever done this before, making fast food video reviews for Youtube, all dressed-up and wearing a Suit. Yes? No, there was another before #ReviewBrah.
It's believed that Review Brah ( #Reviewbrah ) aka TheReportOfTheWeek made his first Fast Food Review wearing a Suit & Tie was sometime in the year 2012, a full 2 years after cookbook author Daniel Bellino Zwicke did his awesome Suit-Wearing-Review of the McDonald's McRib at a Fine Dining Restaurant in New York City. Daniel was wearing a smart Glen Plaid Suit & Tie. Did a spark go off in John Jurasek's brain. Was this the point that John Jurasek (Review Brah) decided to do his Suit-Wearing Food Reviews? Who knows? Review Brah knows. Maybe yes, maybe not.
Anyway, we all Love the Review Brah, John Jurasek. The guy is absolutely awesome. We just love his style and his whole way of doing his thing, his Suit-Wearing Fast Food Reviews, and commentary on the food he eats, and the drinks he drinks. Review Brah is da Bomb, and to us, the # 1 Undisputed King of Fast Food Reviewing. No one can touch him. And though we're bringing up the point that Daniel Bellino "Z" as some people call him, was the 1st Person Ever to Wear a Suit doing a review of Fast Food (The McRib), we're not saying he's better than the Review Brah, "No." We love Review Brah (John Jurasek), we love what he does, and we know he's # 1 .. It's just that we wanted to bring up these fact that we found, and that's that Review Brah was not the 1st to put up a Fast Food Review on Youtube, wearing a Suit & Tie, it was Daniel Bellino Zwicke, "The 1st Person Ever to Wear a Suit & Tie - Doing a Fast-Food Food Review." Basta!
